It is an opulent, tucked away space designed to mirror ‘clubs’ from the 18th century whilst providing superior customer service to private social and corporate bookings.
The Spey Snug is a partnership between Sheepfolds Stables and Speyside Distillers, an award-winning distillery based in the Scottish Highlands. Nestled in northern Scotland, it’s roots, however, are very much based on Wearside with its owners originating from the local area. Tradition, heritage and unique, award-winning products have come together and make for a winning collaborative venture.
We’re now looking for someone to become our official Spey Snug ambassador – someone with a real passion for telling the story of the company and its products, taking pride in the heritage of the brand, explaining the products being served and being an attentive and brilliant host and head bartender to visiting guests of Sheepfolds Stables, especially those booking taster experiences.
The right candidate will:
- work in the Spey Snug for three shifts per week (Friday-Sunday).
- be offered the opportunity to take on more hours and spend time building relationships with local business groups, communities and societies with a view to driving sales growth through bookings and event-led activity.
- be ‘the face’ of Spey Snug, delivering exceptional service and connecting and educating our guests with both the product and the storied history of Speyside Distillery and Sheepfolds Stables.
- report directly to the General Manager of Sheepfolds Stables with responsibilities to ensure other team members working in the Spey Snug (or during any periods of absence) have the required level of product knowledge and service skills.

What’s in it for you?:
- Part-time role with an hourly rate of £13.21 per hour.
- Sales-focused bonus scheme.
- Product knowledge training provided at Speyside Distillery.
Closing date for applicants is Friday 10 October 2025. Please send your CV (including any relevant experience) to Sam Hufton, General Manager of Sheepfolds Stables, via email: sam.hufton@sheepfoldsstables.co.uk
